Hello, I'm Martha J. Pardo
Born in Spain to a Spanish mother and German father, I was raised in Belgium and later lived in the Netherlands, Germany and France before settling in Barcelona. Experiencing different cultures, languages and communities has deeply shaped the way I see the world and the stories I’m drawn to tell, always with a focus on connection and authenticity. As a lifelong bookworm, storytelling has always been at the heart of who I am — a passion that led me to study Media Studies at the University of Groningen, followed by a Master’s in Audiovisual Journalism at Blanquerna and a Master’s in Audiovisual Postproduction at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, as well as a diploma in Digital and Analogue Photography in Paris. What started with books naturally evolved into a practice of creating stories through video, photography and digital content.
Over the years, I’ve collaborated with brands, creators and communities on projects across documentary, music, social media and branded content. One of the experiences that shaped me most was contributing to the rebranding and growth of Wahala, working within the content team to help strengthen its visual identity and community presence. I also worked with Oyofe, supporting the growth of its internationally recognised dance camp and documenting its culture and energy. Today, I work as a content creator, videographer and content strategist, combining storytelling and strategy to develop meaningful visual narratives from concept to post-production. Based in Barcelona and working worldwide, I’m always drawn to projects with purpose and people with stories worth telling.
